Review by: Mandy Apgar
What I liked
about this first off was that it was not demeaning towards folk art - a
pet peeve of mine is when people refer towards the latter is primitive
or not advanced and this gave it a deal of
respect. So there was that. But there was folk art, beliefs, ways of
constructing art and buildings, crafts, holidays, the usual sorts of
things one would find in a book like this. The book was a bit dated
though in its terms and the pictures were often blurry.
