Sorry to say this about Stephanie Laurens, but this is the 20th Cynster book I have read, and she was very repetitive, lengthening her book with little substance. Character Mary was seen in 2 other books as bossy and organized. Her family enjoys her this way. Ryder comes along and wants marriage, but Mary does not want him because she does not think she can boss him. He persists, and eventually she gives in. After the wedding, they go to their country estate, and someone tries, unsuccessfully, four times to kill them, so they kidnap Mary instead. Ryder rescues her and they foil another plan that was aimed to kill them.
