The Painted Ladies Revisited: San Francisco's Resplendent Victorians Inside & Out

Author: Elizabeth Pomada & Michael Larsen
Stars: 4
Review by: MandyApgar

A sequel of sorts to the authors' earlier success "Painted Ladies," a term which I loathe but that of course is given to varicolored Victorian houses, in this case all in the Bay area. Photographs are provided by Douglas Keister, who shoots the houses wonderfully. There are inside photographs of some of the homes, but only those rooms that are period true, not more modern looks. A very nice book but some of the selections given did not seem like they quite fit - too drab almost. Other than that quite good.
