The Miniature House

Author: Faith Eaton
Stars: 4
Review by: MandyApgar

After the last 2 (and quite crappy) books on miniatures I read I was not expecting much from this. But it was quite nice. A good size at 159 pages of text and photos, it presents all manner of miniatures and dolls' houses mostly from an artistic perspective. And it does it quite well. Pictures are clearly reproduced and there is not that much repetition in figures or theme (and those that receive several pages, such as the fairy tale castle of one ms. Moore) are justified in such. Subject is explained well with historical background and production details given for many pieces.
