Italian chastity belts, arranged marriages to Scottish lairds, and filthy clothes all play a part in this tale. (It is interesting why they didn't wash their clothes.) Someone tries to kill the laird's son twice, but it was not the evil lord - it was his uncle. (The Other Boleyn Girl, The Barefoot Princess, and The Key all had evil uncles.)
