The true, authenticated story of what happened at Guernico during the Spanish
civil war. In spite of a non intervention treaty, German forces, as well as
Italian, were very much a part of the conflict. The elite German Condor Legion
wiped out an entire town, basically for "practice". The orders to ignore
civilian populations and bonb indiscriminately are well documented. A
disturbing but insightful read.
