I read this book because my child attends HCRHS and it was chosen by Dr. Brady as one school one book. It is encouraged that all students, teachers, family members and the general community read this book. While the subject in general was depressing, it was very moving to see how Ashley overcame a system that did not work for her and learned the true meaning of family. I found her story inspiring.
