Disappointing. Ho-hum portrayal of Smith College girls (I use that word deliberately), class of 2002. The writing is flat; characters are stereotypes that are hard to care about; plotlines barely exist and then, in the final third of the novel, border on bizarre. Despite positive reviews, this book is no groundbreaking The Group.
