A very readable, open, and accessible account of the
history of early Egypt. All sorts of topics are covered and the author
does not for a bit give into sensationalism or pet issues - people were
simply drawn a certain way in Ahkenaton's time for
example - but still explains why. A lovely text that I wished got more
attention today.
