A beautifully
written book about the 1931 flight of Charles and Anne Lindbergh that
started in New York and led them to Alaska, Russia, Japan, and China.
Morrow-Lindbergh exquisitely crafts the story
of the people and cultures they encounter at each stop. It's a thrilling
tale of a flight into uncharted territories when politics didn't get in
the way of man's willingness to explore the skies freely and be
welcomed graciously by people who were just as fascinated
with their journey.
