The author's account of his travels to relics of various faiths,
the relics themselves, and how key similarities can teach us certain
things about religious structure and belief. It has his moments, like in
discussing the umpteen bits of X particular saint that all claim to be
the same piece (there are several saints with this attribution) or in
the author's visit to a monastery. It just didn't seem as insightful as I
had hoped from the description on the back cover.
