There is a fine line between being politically correct and having a social conscience.. I noticed SB's being PC right away...always safe sex..condom was mentioned 264 times in the first ten books..at least.. older men, younger woman... older woman, younger men.. black/white couples...Asian love interest..an FBI agent out of the closet in 2002..I now think she has a very commendable social conscience..turns out, she has a gay son whom she loves deeply, and believes God made him that way, and that is fine with her.. she puts her book plots where her feelings and sense of justice are.. she combines her causes with a WWII hero that is gay.. while she has a lot of sex, it is NOT casual sex..it always is the best sex the person has ever experienced, and they always get married..!!!..always...in this book we have Max and Gina getting together, as well as Molly and Jones.. most of them also have babies soon after they are married.. hard for me to look at these books as stand alone books...seems knowledge of the history of her characters is critical.
