All New Letters From a Nut

Author: Ted L. Nancy
Stars: 1
Review by: MandyApgar

"I didn't like it" does not nearly go far enough. Juvenile, petty, and useless, it is a collection of real letters and email exchanges (with responses) sent by the author. If he wasn't so over the top it might not be bad. Requests to major companies, government officials, and various sundry companies are made asking for retrieval of rubber gorilla nipples, bestowing awards to a man with an ethnically insensitive name for rescuing the author from varnish, securing insurance on pest strips, finding housing for 300 hamster actors for a play about Amsterdam, asking a mail order company for a gas chamber, it goes on and on. Just really silly, petty, stupid things not in the least bit funny. I noticed that a lot of the letters were for companies based outside the US, perhaps because the author's name is on some sort of do not reply list and / or thanks to his other "nut" books he is too well known here. Customer service is such a thankless industry and he should put all that energy into something better than pestering decent people just trying to do their jobs.
