Tim Conway: What's So Funny? My Hilarious Life

Author: Tim Conway with Jane Scovell
Stars: 4
Review by: Shapoppa

I like biographies even though I know, especially when it comes to celebrity bios, that truths can be stretched just a bit, because who really remembers events and moments in one's life in such great detail - all the way down to the verbatim quotes? Still, I've always been curious and fascinated about how celebrities come from obscurity to achieve fame. Tim Conway achieved it by having honest comedic talent, taking chances, and having a bit of a mischievous streak in him to get away with the laughs that he gave us. It's an enjoyable read into the life of this very funny man, both on and off the screen. I particularly liked the chapter entitled All Roads Lead to Carol in which he gives an honest take about his talent. Fans will also love to read about his friendships with Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman. The only thing missing from this book was more pictures of the funny characters he portrayed on the Carol Burnett Show.
