I am motivated and inspired after reading this career advice book by Kate White, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine. White provides useful tips that relate mostly to young women just beginning their journey into the working world. She is quirky and relatable while expressing her tried-and-true advice. I enjoyed the easy to read magazine-style chapters which made the amount of advice less overwhelming to take in. Topics include how to dress to succeed, the importance of taking time every day to generate ideas, how to deal with difficult bosses and gossiping coworkers, and finally how to enjoy your eventual success. My only criticism is that the book sometimes focuses on scenarios specific to the publishing industry, which I could not always relate to. Would definitely recommend to women interested in reinventing their workplace image or just searching for some career inspiration!
