The Random House Book of Vegetables

Author: Roger Phillips
Stars: 5
Review by: Mandy Apgar

A nice sized, accessible and readable volume, this book contains over 600 vegetable plants with gardening information, seed spacing, etc. even historical backgrounds into their usage. Well illustrated and sturdy, the photos are mostly of normal everyday plants like a regular gardener would get as well as showpieces. One of a volume of several gardening themed books published by Random House by English authors - so sometimes the spelling can be a bit more continental. Best quick reference book, and also contains a lot of in depth information.
