This is the third of Cheryl Strayed's books I've read, but it was the
first one she wrote. Torch is a novel that appears to
be autobiographical. It takes its main characters though the grief of
losing their mother/wife, a strong, interesting, well-loved woman who
would tell them and others to "work hard, do good, be incredible."
