I think I found this book on a sale table for fifty cents and
chose it because I liked the colors on the cover. They reminded me of
Mexico. The story takes place in suburban Philadelphia with several
families intermingling for unusual reasons. The beginning contained some
humor in the reality of the situations, the middle was rather slow, and
the ending, tying everything together was satisfying.
