This is the story, in her voice, of Ernest Hemingway's first
wife, Hadley Richardson, and their time together, mostly in Paris during
the 1920's. They were the "Golden couple" in with the lively group
including Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. But
Hadley was not prepared for the fast-living and free-loving life style
of Paris and Spain. "This is the heartbreaking portrayal of love and
torn loyalty." Although a work of fiction, the narrative is supposedly
faithful to known facts.
