Billed as Life in the Royal Household the book contains, in
chronological order, mini biographies of various servants to Queen
Victoria and her family. Those hoping for an upstairs downstairs sort of
thing though would be greatly disappointed as the book is more a
biography of Victoria instead of those that served her. Too little on the
people themselves and how they operated.
