Even though some parts of this book hit a little too
close to home, I enjoyed it and it got me to thinking about my own
family circumstances. That said, I feel like there was something
missing; like a buildup to something that never really materialized. I
don't mind ambiguous endings, but maybe this was just a little too
realistic in that many things weren't resolved or changed in any way at
the end of the book. But I recommend it to anyone who grew up in an
Irish-Catholic family.
