This is a story of bird flu (avian influenza) spiraled out of control.  The Things That Keep Us Here is a novel, but the disease is real.  First time author Carla Buckley has really thought this through, and the dangers involved in living (or not) through a pandemic are very scary!  Hard to put down!!!
