Hadley Richardson was the first wife of Ernest Hemingway, and this book is written from her point of view. The setting is the 1920s when the young Hemingways moved from the Midwest to Paris, where Ernest, a promising writer, would join the community of artists and writers creating new and exciting works.  Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald are just a few of those.   Historical fiction based on fact, it is a story of the effect on their marriage of the pressures of this life.  It also offers insight on the day-to-day life and work of one of our eminent authors.
