This is the story of the Pretender's (Perkin Walbeck's) wife, Lady Catherine Gordon. After her husband's plot to take the crown of England failed, she was held prisoner by Henry VII (who claimed to be in love with her). She had to endure the hostilities of the English court while her husband was held in the Tower. After a failed escape attempt, Perkin was tortured and killed by Henry VII. Even after Perkin's death, Catherine never lost faith in her husband's claim that he was the son of Edward IV. Overall interesting read.
