Savannah's best friend Janie, who grew up privileged and wanting for nothing, now has a husband: Savannah's (unrequited) college crush, Peter. Tears, tantrums and excessive drinking culminate in Savannah's online purchase of a German Shepherd puppy. This novel has some intriguing plotlines and potential character interest, but disappoints with pedestrian writing and stereotyped situations more suitable for YAF. And warning: despite the appealing and adorable doggyface on the cover, the book is really NOT about the dog!
