These two books are not among her best: the storylines are turgid and the writing is flat. But while my mind was wandering during reading, duh - a revelation! In each book, the last name of a key/main character corresponds with the letter of the title. I went back and tried it w/the other books and it works. Had I just breezed thru these as I did w/the others, this subtlety (to me, but probably glaringly apparent to everyone else)may never have occurred to me at all. Based on that, I bumped up the rating from 1 to 2.
