The Girls from Ames

Author: Jeffrey Zaslow
Stars: 3
Review by: patco81

Somewhat dry, overly-detailed and hard to follow at first, the narrative gains momentum after the eleven girls/women develop individual personas following high school graduation. All life crossroads are depicted - college, relationships, marriage, children, careers v. jobs, relocations, divorce, illness, death, parental infirmity - within the framework of a friendship that lasts for decades.
