Spark of Life

Author: Erich Maria Remarque
Stars: 4
Review by: Mickey

This is not a book one could say she/he enjoyed - too full of pain and suffering - but amazingly, hope almost constantly breaks thru - a tale of political prisoners in Nazi concentration camps. I read this when I was approximately 16 years old and was curious to see if I had been desensitized by so many other concentration camp stories. I found it hit me just as hard and harrowing as the first time I read it.
