Although this book is intended for the middle grade reader, dare I say it is nearly as inventive and enjoyable as Harry Potter? Percy Jackson is a "troubled" sixth grade student with ADHD and dyslexia, but finds out, unexpectedly, that the father he has never met is a god from Mount Olympus. Yes, it sounds far-fetched, but Riordan writes an exciting and very enjoyable book incorporating Greek mythology into modern times. I highly recommend this!
