Good writing, better than your average whodunit, but the concept of talking cats was rather unnerving. As in other cat mysteries, these felines talk to each other; the twist here is that they also talk with humans. The best parts of the book contained no conversations at all, just descriptive prose. The author's bio stated she won "World's Best Cat Litter-ary Award," so I may chance one or two more books in this series to see how they play out.
