Keepsake Crimes is the first in the scrapbooking mystery series by this author. It is a cozy type who-done-it based in New Orleans on a group of mostly women friends who enjoy this craft. The main character is Carmela Bertrand recently estranged from her husband creating some social tensions. The story line is not as important as the character interactions that are spiced with wonderful food recipes and craft tips. I am not a scrapbooking person but I enjoyed reading about the ambience of a city I cherished before Katrina and all the sights sounds and aromas. Try it...you may like the flavor of the series and the Jambalaya!
