It was an interesting read, sort of "Sex and the Italian/American Girl." Enjoyed reading the recipes most of all, so perhaps it was really a cookbook in the guise of a memoir! It was interesting to note that, as an Italian/American who also enjoys cooking, Ms. Melucci's recipes are very similar to those of my mom's and so I realized I was reading them and doing a comparison on how she prepares them and how we do in our family. That was probably the most fun... At best, a light and an interesting summer read.
