Some nice ideas and pretty photos, but sometimes the text contradicts itself: in one part, Waggoner recommends adding salt to boiling water to keep it boiling, but a page later states she never adds salt to pasta water, only olive oil to prevent sticking, which most professional chefs agree does nothing to prevent sticking, that large amounts of rapidly boiling water and attentive stirring prevent sticking.
