People of the Deer

Author: Farley Mowat
Stars: 5
Review by: TooManyBooksTooLittleTime

I would really have given this book ten stars if I could. This book was first published in 1951, and has still not lost its strong relevance in the need to preserve the last inland Eskimos, "the people of the deer." This is a wonderful story of the people, their past and present. Farley Mowat writes with love and compassion, and this is a just a fabulous book. I want to read the rest of this very popular Canadian writer and conservationist.
