Easy read with a happy ending. A bit simplistic but enjoyable none the less. By the same author of Where the Heart Is but not half as powerful (in my opinion).

As other ASRC members have expressed, this book is disappointing if you've read Where the Heart Is. Wal-Mart does play a small part, but the similarity ends there. I found the first half of this book incredibly sad and full of despair. But Billie Letts is a good writer, and despite the subject matter, she kept me involved in the story.
